John Nugent - President and Chief Executive Officer
John Nugent brings three decades of software industry experience to Serena as President and CEO.
Prior to Serena, Mr. Nugent served as Executive Vice President, Worldwide Operations at SAP Business Objects, where he was responsible for global sales, sales operations, sales consulting and field training. Prior to his worldwide role at SAP, Mr. Nugent served as SAP's Chief Operating Officer of the Americas, Asia and Japan, and earlier as Executive Vice President of Sales and Operations in the United States. Before joining SAP in 2003, Mr. Nugent served in executive and senior sales management positions at Oracle Corporation for seventeen years, most recently as Senior Vice President Sales responsible for managing all lines of business and market segments in the eastern United States. Mr. Nugent's sales career began at Software International, where he spent more than six years marketing and selling mainframe applications software to Fortune 1000 companies.
Mr. Nugent holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Spring Hill College and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program of Harvard Business School.

David Hurwitz - Senior Vice President, Worldwide Marketing
David Hurwitz leads Serena's marketing initiatives, including product marketing, communications, campaigns, sales readiness and field marketing. Mr. Hurwitz has a quarter century of experience in the enterprise software industry, the last decade of which as a marketing leader.
Prior to Serena, Mr. Hurwitz served as Vice President of Corporate Messaging and Solutions Marketing at CA, Inc. He joined CA via its 2005 acquisition of Niku Corporation, where he was Chief Marketing Officer. Under his marketing leadership, Niku's Clarity product became the leading enterprise-class PPM system in IT shops and product development organizations around the world. Earlier Mr. Hurwitz founded and ran Product Lifecycle Management pioneer ConsenSys Software Corporation. He began his software career by creating several MANMAN products as an engineer at legendary Silicon Valley company ASK Computer Systems.
Mr. Hurwitz holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Ed Malysz - Senior Vice President, General Counsel
Ed Malysz is responsible for Serena's worldwide legal function.
Prior to Serena, Mr. Malysz served as VP, Legal of Symantec Corporation, a leading security and storage software company. Mr. Malysz has also held senior management and legal positions at a number of technology companies, including VERITAS Software, E-Stamp Corporation and Silicon Graphics, Inc. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Malysz was a certified public accountant with Arthur Young & Company.
Mr. Malysz holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara and J.D. from Santa Clara University.

Steve Brodie - Group Vice President, Application Lifecycle Management Business Unit
Steve Brodie leads Serena's Application Lifecycle Management business unit. Mr. Brodie has over 25 years experience in the enterprise software industry.
Prior to Serena, Mr. Brodie served as the President and the Chief Products & Marketing Officer at Skytap, a pioneer and leader in cloud computing. Before Skytap, Mr. Brodie was Sr. Director at Mercury Interactive, leading the Load Testing and Application Performance Management product groups for nearly four years through the acquisition by HP. Prior to Mercury, Mr Brodie was Sr. Director of Product Management at IBM Rational Software with responsibility for several product lines. Mr. Brodie spent the first ten years of his career in the IT consulting business at several leading firms including IBM and Andersen Consulting.
Mr. Brodie holds a BS in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is a graduate of the Executive Management Program at the University of Washington.

Ali Kheirolomoom - Group Vice President, SBM & IT Service Management Business Unit
Ali Kheirolomoom leads the Serena Business Manager and Serena Service Manager business unit.
Prior to Serena, Mr. Kheirolomoom was co-founder, CTO and Vice President of Software Development for Apptero, the creator of an innovative business application planning, visualization and prototyping tool. Prior to Apptero, he was co-founder, CTO and VP of Development for Avinon, where he oversaw the development of Avinon's highly regarded NetScenario software for Web services application assembly. Before Avinon, he was Vice President of Product Management at Mosaix. There he defined the company's product strategy and was the driving force behind the development of their leading-edge process automation product, which subsequently became the foundation for the CRM initiative at Lucent Technologies (now Avaya, Inc.). Mr. Kheirolomoom was the recipient of ComputerWorld Premier 100 IT Leaders and Premier 20 Innovators awards.
Mr. Kheirolomoom completed his undergraduate studies in Computer Engineering at the University of California in Santa Cruz.

Eric Driffort - Vice President, Europe, Middle East & Africa
Eric Driffort is responsible for Serena's sales and service operations in the EMEA region.
Mr. Driffort began his career as an engineer at IBM, before becoming Sales and Marketing Director for Information Builders in 1991. In 1997 he was appointed MD of Intersolv, which became Merant in 2000. Serena Software subsequently acquired Merant. In 2004 he accepted the position of MD for the French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Benelux and African regions for Serena. In 2008, he successfully ran operations in India and in 2009, the UK and Ireland were added to his portfolio. Mr. Driffort was appointed Vice President for EMEA in 2010, where he has been successfully driving growth.
Mr. Driffort holds a BSc in IT and a Masters in International Commerce from the University of Paris-Dauphine.

Sharryn Millican - Vice President, Asia Pacific
Sharryn Millican is responsible for Serena's sales and service operations in the APAC region.
Ms Millican began her career in IT in 1998 providing disaster recovery consulting for a new to market solution provided by Recall Total Information Management. Moving on to Deloitte TT as a Business Consultant specialising in Web and Application Design and Development for large global customers and then CA Technologies where Sharryn lead the CA Wily Business Unit’s incredible growth in APAC for 3 years. Prior to joining the IT industry, Sharryn held a General Management role for a large Manufacturing and Distribution company servicing the Retail industry. Ms Millican was appointed Vice President for APAC in 2010, where she has been successfully changing the business and refining the go to market from all areas to drive growth.
Ms Millican holds a Bachelor in Business and a number of other executive management accreditations as well as being an AICD Member (Australian Institute of Company Directors).

Peter Sianchuk - Group Vice President, Customer Experience & IT
Peter Sianchuk is responsible for Serena's relationship with our customers. He provides a single vision across all aspects of Customer Interaction, ensuring that Serena offers the highest level of Customer Service from every department and that Serena maintains an unsurpassed level of Customer consideration in decisions made.
Mr. Sianchuk leads the Customer Support organisation, the Information Technology department, as well as the PMO within Serena. His involvement across both internally focused and externally focused departments ensures that Serena is constantly improving itself, always with the customer in mind.
Mr. Sianchuk began his career as a mainframe developer and systems analyst. He holds an honors degree in computer engineering from the University of Teesside, Teesside, UK.

John Alves - interim Chief Financial Officer, VP of Finance
John Alves is responsible for the worldwide finance and administration organization. He has over 20 years of experience in the enterprise software industry.
Prior to Serena, Mr. Alves served as Corporate Controller at Barra, Inc., a leading provider of investment decision support tools that was subsequently acquired by MSCI.
Mr. Alves is a certified public accountant and earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration from California State University, East Bay.

Alison Edge
Alison Edge is responsible for Serena's global HR function. With over twenty five years experience in Human Resources management, most with technology companies, she brings a wealth of experience to the role.
Strategically, Ms. Edge is responsible for creating an environment that nurtures Serena's most valuable asset, our people. Operationally, with her team, she manages the key Talent Management processes – resourcing, performance and career management, learning and compensation. Administratively, she supports her team in fulfilling the day-to-day processes that are essential in maintaining a high quality employee experience.
Prior to joining Serena, Ms. Edge held senior HR positions with T Mobile, Red-M and its precursor Madge Networks, Crosfield Electronics and Schlumberger.
Ms. Edge holds a Business Management degree from the University of Hertfordshire.
